The Bret Harte garden is a place where students can grow vegetables, pick fruit, and observe the natural world. We are fortunate to have an expansive garden for our students to learn in an outdoor environment.

Volunteer in our Garden

Neighbors and community members can join us in supporting and maintaining our garden. We do monthly garden work days, usually on the 3rd Saturday of the month – anyone can come out and help us with our garden projects. To join our garden contact list: send us an email

Butterfly Garden Expansion

Our Garden Committee along with many families, community members, and volunteers have been working hard to add 1,500 sq.ft. to the garden with a Butterfly Garden featuring native plants and hosts to support pollinators in our ecosystem.

Help us ensure that all students have the opportunity to plant, grow, and harvest in our garden. Funds for our Garden also provide students with supplies for garden activities. Our Garden needs regular maintenance and infrastructure upgrades. Your support is invaluable!
